  • Art Now: Goshka Macuga
W jednej z najsłynniejszych londyńskich galerii, Tate Britain, będzie można zobaczyć instalacje Goshki Macugi. Młoda polska artystka często kwestionuje swoimi pracami role kuratora wystawy, artysty i kolekcjonera.

  • A SPACE IN THE DARK
Andrzej Jackowski’s paintings are like poems. The American poet Carol Dine wrote to him in deep winter: ‘It is Christmas Eve, and my letter to you goes out across the ocean, across time. On this night, the writing makes me feel less alone, as do your haunting images. They speak to me of a shared grief. What drew me to your art was the feeling I had seen it before, in a dream I could vaguely remember.’
Jackowski himself has written a short poem for this autumn’s exhibition. Succinctly and seductively it introduces his constantly but slowly evolving themes.

Janek Simon works in video, programming, and computer animation. His works include interactive installations, internet projects, and experimental computer animations. Simon also produces live video performances and music visualization under the pseudonym VjJansi.

His work attempts to filter the overwhelming quantity of information available on the internet and he investigates access to knowledge as well as the increasingly close and ambiguous relationships between culture and economy within neo-liberal capitalism. The strategies he employs can be subversive, sometimes bordering on anarchistic, but always remain at their core pragmatic.
