  • Chinese State Circus and the Shaolin Wu-Shu Warriors
    This spectacular new show explores the 2000-year heritage of one of the world's best circuses through storytelling, Chinese martial arts and breathtaking acrobatics. The 30 performers of the Chinese State Circus bring their amazing feats to the stage of the Royal Festival Hall.

    Top of the bill are the Shaolin Wu-Shu Warriors, performing martial arts, and the world-famous Peking Opera. Other highlights include a spectacular aerial bungee trapeze and back flipping acrobats who balance head-to-head on top of each other while spinning plates on sticks.

    Further spice comes from knotted contortionists, a dizzying succession of gymnasts catapulted from springboards and spiralling 20 feet into the air, a breathtaking pole-jumping routine, huge dancing diablos and a unicyclist who stacks a tea party on her head.

    The show climaxes with an extravagant, lusciously set and costumed performance of the Lion and Dragon Dances.
